Several bookmarked ares have become enviromental hazardous by enviromentalist, big battles between goverment ,enviromentalist
and the residents have taken tall as the area is the main source of incomes for several families.
Examples are Dandora sites, mau Forest, ngong hills and others.
Dandora

Despite the area being enviromental dangerous it has also come to knowledge that several gangs opperate there as hideout and
dark business deals, this has been reported by the media as one of the no go zone by police due the complex hips and tonnes of gabbages
making imposible for them to lay traps.

several recycle plants also depends on the gabbage, thus employement of the families.
NAIROBI RIVER
This is part of nairobi river by passing several slums the river have been another site for concern.the picture speaks loud

Efforts to remove the pollutants and to stop further pollution have been started but it needs massive human, technical and financial resources. The River and its tributaries pass through Nairobi Province which is the Kenyan Capital and flows through the Central Business District.

At its source the water is sparkling clean Its main tributaries are: Ngong, Nairobi and Mathare. The tributaries join east of Nairobi and later join the river Athi, before flowing into the Indian Ocean. For people living along the River, the situation is critical. It is sad.

The only water is filled with life threatening pollutants and stinking refuse. Human waste and foul smelling muck flow freely. It has acted for many years as a major depository for waste from both domestic and often the more dangerous industrial sources.
